School Nutrition Partners sees as part of its mission to provide charter schools with services in all areas of meal program management. We have many years of experience in running and managing meal programs. We can provide support in the following areas: (Click them for more information.)
We will complete and submit your SFA application for approval to your state government, as well as collaborate with your food vendor to begin your meal service in a timely manner.
We will complete and submit your CACFP application for approval. (California only)
We will prepare your RFA for either vended meals or an FSMC meal contract. For FSMC contracts we will submit the RFA and all supporting documentation to your state agency for approval. We will support the school in submitting responses to vendors and in scoring the vendor proposals.
Administrative reviews from the state can be very time consuming and complicated with a long list of compliance items. We can help you compile all the required documentation, as well as conduct a pre-review audit to correct any aspects of your current operation that might not be fully compliant. We can also be present during the review visit for support.
We can provide training for any staff members at all levels of the meal program operations. All of our trainings follow the professional standards guidelines from the USDA. We can also support your school in meeting the required amount of professional development hours for each staff category by not only providing the training, but by also tracking those hours and providing the school with those records for compliance purposes.
If you would like a professional opinion on how you can improve your meal program so that you are running a compliant, efficient and effective program, we can provide an internal audit of your operations that will provide you with specific recommendations for how your school can maximize its meal program.
We can complete grant applications for the School Breakfast Equipment Grant, the NSLP Assistance Equipment Grant, and the Farm to School Grant.
